The North Dakota Department of Human Services will hold a webinar tomorrow, March 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. Central Time to provide information and answer Medicaid-related questions pertaining to Medicaid services and COVID-19. North Dakota Medicaid providers, advocacy organizations and other stakeholders are invited to participate.
The meeting will be available through Skype video conference at https://bit.ly/2IWIERp or by phone at 701-328-0950, passcode 564595380#. The meeting will be recorded and available for later viewing on the department’s website at www.nd.gov/dhs/info/covid-19/provider-q-a.html.
Department officials will provide information on the recently announced policy eliminating paper claims processing for most providers on April 15. Staff will also review the draft Medicaid 1135 waiver request, which will allow temporary modifications to select Medicaid requirements to ensure sufficient health care items and services are available to meet the needs of individuals enrolled in the program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some items that may be included in the waiver are prescription drug supply limits and increased critical access hospital capacity.
There will also be discussions on an Appendix K to the existing 1915(c) Medicaid waivers that informs the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services of requested changes to waiver operations due to the current state of emergency.
